Happy Tuesday yoga friends!
I hope you are enjoying this warmer weather and finding joy in body, mind and heart! Here in my garden, I am definitely feeling the warmth of the Sun as we are close to Summer Solstice and Fire season for TCM.
Some great news I would like to share is that I recently graduated from Hatha Yoga Intermediate Teacher Training 170 hours from Integral Yoga Institute NYC. After I started teaching Hatha yoga last fall, I fell in love with Hatha yoga method and wanted to deepen my practice and teaching. It was intense training but it was well worth it! I also received my Sanskrit name “Yuvati ” as a spiritual name. “Yuvati ” means youthful and the name of several goddesses such as Durga and Usha.
I also started teaching Level 1-2 class at a new studio, Three Birds Yoga studio. They have two locations. One is at South Orange close to the train station(former South Mountain yoga studio location) and another one is at Florham Park(in front of Trader’s Joe). The studio is beautiful!
I currently teach at the South Orange location and occasionally sub at Florham Park.
Another great news is I am finally able to visit my family in Japan this summer! The country lifted regulations at the border in April and we decided to go back this summer. I haven’t seen my parents for 3 years after the pandemic started.
As I am not here most of summer, I will be taking a break teaching from Bhakti Barn in the summer months. Also the studio is reconsidering the time slot for my Bhakti Flow to Yin class. They are planning to bring me back in the fall in the morning time slot on the weekend. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for a time slot for my class in fall. The studio is taking all suggestions!
