Class Descriptions

Vinyasa Flow: It emphasizes the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. This class is challenging, yet modifications are given for all levels. Building strength, flexibility, and concentration while burning impurities in our body and calming your mind.

Hatha : Hatha Yoga is a comprehensive system for personal transformation – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. You will move through poses at a slower rate and there will be more static holding of poses as opposed to a vinyasa class. A Hatha yoga class is a great option for those who seek a practice with less weight bearing on the arms/shoulders (ie chaturanga). The class incorporates postures, breathing practice, mudra, deep relaxation, meditation and mantra. Students of any age and condition are encouraged to explore each posture at their own pace with mindfully observing what arises without judgement. By balancing effort and surrender, the practitioner is able to discover the optimal flow of energy to achieve greater flexibility, strength, poise and mental focus.

Flow to Yin: A mix of Vinyasa flow and Yin yoga. This is a fun and creative way to explore both Yin (cooling, passive and slow) and Yang (dynamic, warm and fast) style of yoga in a well-rounded and thoughtful practice. Practicing both qualities of Yin and Yang, which helps our students to find a balance even in the busiest times, and empower their physical strength by flow practice, as well as calming and relaxing their muscles and mind through Yin practice.

Yin: In this slower and more meditative style practice, the poses are held for several minutes while relaxing their muscles (typically three to five minutes or longer). Yin yoga helps us to relax and to surrender to a practice that provides our body the space it needs to rest and heal, allowing connective tissues to become stronger and the internal body to become more resilient. Suitable for almost all levels of students. My class includes targeted area, elements of meditation, dharma and Chinese Meridian Theory.
