December 25, 2022 Happy Holiday Season

  Happy Holiday Season!!

Hello my friends and I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season!

As I take some time to gather with family this holiday season, I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It is an honor to walk this path with you and I look forward to exploring more in the year to come.

I thought this year, 2022, is the year of manifestations with high and positive energy. A lot of my wishes came true this year and I am so grateful. I hope your wishes and desires came true too.

My highlight of this year was the family trip to Sedona, AZ, and Monument Valley in November. I got married 13 years ago in Sedona. It was our first visit since my daughter was born. I was so happy to come back to the place where we got married after so many years, especially with my daughter. We got married at the bottom of Cathedral Rock Mountain near the creek. It was hard to find the location as the road has been changed, so GPS didn’t take us there easily. We finally found the location on the last day in Sedona, but part of the property was owned by someone now and we couldn’t access the exact location. There were stepping stones, but they were removed. We still could take some pictures where we did a ceremony, but some locations were not accessible, not the forest property anymore. We were glad we could visit there again and showed it to my daughter, but at the same time, it was a little sad moment..

And I remember the Buddhist teaching about impermanence (not only Buddhism), “Nothing is permanent”. Change is inevitable and instead embrace changes.

Just as the negative occurrence is not permanent, neither are positive ones. Life situation changes constantly. Yoga is a wonderful tool to practice impermanence.

When you practice yoga, pay close attention to any subtle changes in your body, your reactions to asanas, and off course your consciousness.

I have one workshop coming up in February. Please check my current schedule on my website at www.ancientlotusyoga.com.  I am teaching on New Year’s eve at Bhakti Barn yoga and New Year’s day at Three Birds Yoga.

Wishing you peace and ease during this holiday season!

See you in the new year!

Much love,

Yuka
